The kidneys play a crucial role in filtering waste products, excess fluids, and toxins from the blood, regulating electrolyte levels, and producing hormones that help control blood pressure and stimulate red blood cell production.

Preventing kidney disease involves adopting a healthy lifestyle and taking certain precautions to protect your kidneys. Here are some ways to reduce the risk of kidney disease:

Visit your healthcare provider for routine check-ups and screenings. Regular monitoring of your kidney function and overall health can help detect any issues early on.

two simple tests: a urine test and blood test.

Drink an adequate amount of water each day to help your kidneys flush out toxins and waste products from the body. Drinking water prevents the formation of kidney stones. Include fruits and vegetables with the high water content in your diet . Watermelon , cucumbers,oranges, strawberries are some common examples of fruits and vegetables.

High blood pressure can damage your kidneys and increases your chances of getting kidney disease. Check and monitor your blood pressure regularly and take different steps to keep it in the normal range. Take a low sodium diet, exercising regularly, managing stress etc.

If you are overweight, losing significant amount of weight can help lower the blood pressure. At least half hour of daily exercises  walking,jogging,swimming,cycling,aerobic exercises can help you to lower the blood pressure,improves your health and helps you to lose the weight.
